Weight Loss Journey With WoW

“Don’t even know where to begin, but I know this will be a long post. About a week ago I posted about my recent weight loss. Just this morning my sister sent me some Christmas photos and I couldn’t believe my eyes. Just a couple of months ago I was depressed, miserable, ashamed, tired and resigned. I didn’t like and didn’t recognize the person in the mirror. Inside or out. My poor husband was the only person who knew what’s going on and was supporting me through this crazy roller coaster my almost 38 years old body decided to board. I was embarrassed to go to the gym because I knew so many people there and I used to be the one motivating people in their healthy lifestyle. 

I signed up for a weight loss challenge but the last thing I thought I’d ever do, would be to work with a trainer. I figured it probably makes sense to get out of my comfort zone. Not a fan of discomfort, of pushing myself either.

Right now I am so thankful I started working with Ian. Throughout the process, Ian was understanding, always calm, and super professional. I don’t like fluff and hyperboles. If you know me, you know I’m energetic and have a hard time taking my time when it comes to anything. It was so nice to work with a trainer who was patient with me, focusing all attention on my process. Making sure I exercise in right time, with proper body alignment and form. He helped me plan my workout between our sessions. I have a bulging disc in my neck and Ian knew how to modify the exercises to avoid injury.

I’m not posting this to brag about my accomplishment, as I realize I have a long way to go and a ton of work ahead of me. I am posting this because I just know I’m not alone. Child birth, life changes, holidays, hormones…so many things affect our bodies but we have the power to take control. We turn to diets, weight loss programs and quick fixes. This is the first time I did it the right way.

It really helps to have someone knowledgeable help you through your journey.

Seriously, if you are a member of WoW, I’m pretty sure they have some special on training going on for another day or so. Don’t wait. This is the only time my hubby was happy to hear me brag about another man ;) “
